The Mexican Lime (Key-lime)
is actually a variety of acid lime (Citrus aurantifolia) also known as Key-Lime, it is seeded, smaller and more acidic than the regular Limes. It is used mostly for consumption as food or fresh fruit, for drinking, but also has medicinal uses for its astringent properties and aseptic.
High in Vitamin C, helps digestion, circulation beneficial because it reduces blood pressure, used as a gargle to cure sore throat, stimulating the liver and kidney and is widely used in aromatherapy for its benefits equally encouraging.
